Millicent Simenson, has enjoyed offering birth and postpartum doula care to birthing women since 2008. She co-founded the Mewinzha Ondaadiziike Wiigaming in 2013, which will offer childbirth educations, labor and postpartum support, and breastfeeding in Bemidji, MN and surroundings located in Northern MN. As a Certified Perinatal Educator through The JJ Way and Licensed Practical Nurse working in Maternal Child Health in 0-3 child development and parenting, Certified Lactation Specialist. She continues to take advantage of further training and education thought many organizations to continue offering the most up-to-date information available for birth options.
Roberta Decker, has worked on the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Reservation as a home visitor and clinic nurse. She co-founded the Mewinzha Ondaadiziike Wiigaming in 2013, in Bemidji, MN. In 2008, she was DONA trained as a birth doula; in the following years has had training as a postpartum doula, certified lactation counselor and childbirth educator through The JJ Way, Roberta has a strong hope to offer prenatal education that will help women to make informed decisions about how they chose to have birth, offer support throughout pregnancy and encourage breastfeeding and the importance's
of bonding between parent and baby. She believes that pregnancy and birth are life changing events that have great influence on how a woman sees herself and her role as a parent. Women need to have support , encouragement throughout pregnancy.
